The ATEG Future Teacher Award
The Assembly for the Teaching of English Grammar, a grammar-focused assembly of the National Council of Teachers of English, is excited to solicit applications for The ATEG Future Teacher Award, an award given to a pre-service K-12 teacher with a particular interest in and passion for teaching English grammar. The award winner will receive a certificate, a one-year ATEG membership, and free registration for the 2023 ATEG Conference.

- Write an essay of approximately 750 words explaining how you will teach grammar to your future students and why you’ll teach it in those ways.
- Tips: Focus on specific instructional practices, the ideas behind them, and particular sources that inform your beliefs.
- Email the essay and your resume in a single word document by March 1st, 2023 to Sean Ruday ([email protected]) with the subject “ATEG Future Teacher Scholarship Award.”
- Eligibility is limited to pre-service teachers enrolled in an education-focused undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application.
